Request to My Readers

My family's going through a rough time, and just thought I'd put out some prayer requests, in our lucky case that you are one inclined to praying for people:

  • While I was on VSET, my grandpa was diagnosed with heart failure and kidney failure, which was very sudden since he has always been in relatively good health. He spent 6 weeks in the hospital starting in July going back and forth between critical and intensive care, and at many points my family thought he wouldn't make it. Through the weeks my mom, sister, and aunt have been rotating shifts at the hospital, even through the nights, which has been extremely taxing on them. My grandpa has gotten better recently, and came back from the hospital on Saturday per his persistent request, but many of his doctors have warned us that he is still not in a good condition to be without hospital support. We don't have any assurance of how much time he actually has left. Please join me in this prayer:
  • "God, we pray that Anthony Song would hear and believe the word of God. We ask you to prevent Satan from blinding him from the truth. Holy Spirit, we ask you to convict Mr. Song of his sin and his need for Christ's redemption. We ask that you give Felicia and her sister the opportunity, the courage, and the right words to share the truth with their grandpa. We pray that their grandpa would turn from his sin. We pray that he would put all his trust in Christ as Lord and Savior. Lord, we ask that Anthony Song would confess Christ as Lord of his life. Thank you, Lord, for the mercy that You want to show him."
  • My grandma also fainted and went to the ER a few weeks ago, and last week I came home and found she had just almost fell unconscious again. Please pray against the enemy's attacks against her body, that the Lord would protect her life until she turns from her idol worship and receives salvation through Jesus.
  • We just found out my dog, Dipstick, has bone cancer. The cancer has already spread much of the way across the diameter of his left leg and is starting to spread in his right, so soon he will only have 3 legs to walk with. Our only options are to amputate his leg, or put him to sleep. Since he is in so much pain already, we are leaning toward the latter. We've had him for 13 years (since I was in 3rd grade), so please just pray for strength for me and my family (Ps.73:26), since it will be very hard to say goodbye.
  • There are many, many things to take care of at home, and I wish I could be there during the week to help out, but please pray for my mom, sister, brother and two aunts, that God would be their peace and strength. Would He be drawing each of our family members to Him in this time and opening up their eyes to the truth.
  • For me and my sister, as we are the only Christians in the family: that we would keep fighting the fight of faith, be patient and constant in praying for our family (Rom.12:12), and stay sober-minded (1 Pet.4:7, 5:8). Please pray we would be sensitive to the Spirit and to however God wants to use us in this crucial time.

Coming from an unsaved home, the messages I first received from Christianity were that there was a Person who loved me. I was mind-blown that there was a Creator who knew and loved me extravagantly. I didn’t understand the religiosity of things or even how people could be sick of church. The Worth of Hiddenness

For much of my 20’s, I aspired to a certain idea and vision of greatness. I received prophecies about my greatness and how the Lord wanted to use me to “impact nations.” I heard these kinds of words over and over, and these words were great to hear – but naturally, after many years of not making much impact, I felt like I had failed God to some measure (I believe my experience is not uncommon). I felt I needed to figure out how to achieve “big impact” in order to truly fulfill my calling and destiny in life.   The Great Commission says in Matthew 28:19-20:  "Go therefore and  make disciples of all the nations , baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...”  When read plainly, the Great Commission does put forth this command of impacting nations. The problem is that we have interpreted the Great Commission in a way that makes it unachievable to 99% of Christians who do not have large platforms or access to thousands ...
