True Romance

Lately, and I know I shouldn't, but I've been getting pretty offended by people talking my faith down, or even just questioning God. I know the gospel must be preached and defended with gentleness because that's the only way He would want it, and the only way it could be accurately represented. But it's like I'm offended because I love Him so much. I'm sure everyone's been offended when someone talks bad about someone they love. I guess that's why the "yo mama" insults are so popular, haha..cause they shoot right at the heart! Mama's have a tender place in people's hearts indeed, and when people insult your mother, it just calls for offense. I guess that's what I feel like when people even question His sovereignty. There's a need in everyone to try to understand God in human terms, and often that just creates discrepancies in our minds because He's too GREAT to be understood in our terms. The only way we can ever grasp who God is, is by understanding who we are relative to Him--we're limited and broken people with brains infinitely beyond infinitely smaller than His. It's all impossible to fully comprehend because we're so small..Either way, I need to learn how to simultaneously love God but be understanding of those who haven't yet, by grace, received revelations of His sovereignty, power, glory, greatness, majesty..and overall awesomeness.

On another thought, Christ's love is the most romantic thing. It's wedding season, I'm well into a Jane Austen novel, summer's along its way, there's been new connections formed and old feelings felt, but there's just one thing that can always give me new excitement, and nothing more pleasant to rest my mind & soul on than the love of God. It's just like a fairytale story, the gospel, a romance between God and man, and trying to tell any of it in my own words just doesn't do the Bible's beauty justice. Even a verse..like the one in the post below, is beyond man. Nothing can separate us from the love of God??
Nothing is beyond prayer, and nothing can stop us from praying.
All because He loves us.
And I've just seen the shores of His ocean.

Excuse these scattered thoughts..It's 2am and my grandparents are going to get saved tomorrow.

YES AND AMEN
