Art makes the world go round

It seems after this past semester of my most hardcore studying regimens, I've come out venting through and craving art. Sometimes I just want to throw aside all the science and play/write/draw/whatever makes happy. Even if I become a starving artist or writer, which would probably happen as I am good at not one of those, I'd be happy. After all, living on some kind of edge makes life a little exciting, unpredictable, and more worthy if we're depending on God a little more at the end of the day. But also more enjoyable if say, a girl had a wealthy husband to break the fall. Kidding. But sigh, I do want to help people more..which alas, remains my always fading motive to keep drilling organic mechanisms into my head..

But until the next round, I'm rejoicing in my freedom to enjoy some God-given art :).
After days of research and two lost bids on better cameras, I finally got a digital SLR, a Fujifilm S800 on Ebay for $110 + shipping. I'm now an amateur photographer with an amateur SLR from Ebay. I am eccccstatic. It's small and gets kind of blurry with the zoom, but it still does the job of taking SLR-status pictures. I am fully ready to stalk people now, as my church friend says, people's 'personal paparazzi.' :)

I love how there's even a flower mode in these cameras.

Coming from an unsaved home, the messages I first received from Christianity were that there was a Person who loved me. I was mind-blown that there was a Creator who knew and loved me extravagantly. I didn’t understand the religiosity of things or even how people could be sick of church. The Worth of Hiddenness

For much of my 20’s, I aspired to a certain idea and vision of greatness. I received prophecies about my greatness and how the Lord wanted to use me to “impact nations.” I heard these kinds of words over and over, and these words were great to hear – but naturally, after many years of not making much impact, I felt like I had failed God to some measure (I believe my experience is not uncommon). I felt I needed to figure out how to achieve “big impact” in order to truly fulfill my calling and destiny in life.   The Great Commission says in Matthew 28:19-20:  "Go therefore and  make disciples of all the nations , baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...”  When read plainly, the Great Commission does put forth this command of impacting nations.
